BARTHOLOW AND JOHNSON WIN ANNUAL CLUB SHOOT 

The Rapid City Trap Club held its annual Club Shoot and election on July 23, 2006.  16 yard Singles, Handicap, Doubles, Skeet and Sportsman events made up the fun shoot for members of the Rapid City Trap Club.

Foster Bartholow of Rapid City was the High All Around Champion with a score of 373 x 400 combined targets hit in four of the events. His scores were 98 x 100 in singles, 97 x 100 in Handicap, 97 x 100 in Doubles and 81 x 100 in Skeet. He won the title after a shootoff with Darcy Schlecht of Rapid City who matched his score. Bartholow also won the 25-26 yard Handicap and Class A Doubles.

Greg Johnson of Rapid City won the High Over All Champion trophy for his score of 289 x 300 combined targets in Singles, Handicap and Doubles.  Johnson shot a perfect 100 x 100 in Singles, 96 x 100 in Handicap and 93 x 100 in Doubles competition. Johnson also won Class AA Singles, 23-24 yard Handicap, and Class B Doubles.

The Champion in the Singles competition was Brian Bradley of Rapid City. He won the title after a shootoff with Greg Johnson who matched his perfect century mark.

The Handicap competition was won by Wes Kintigh of Rapid City with his near perfect score of 99 x 100. Kintigh also won Class C Doubles with a score of 89 x 100.

            Nick Bostow of Rapid City was the Champion in the Doubles competition with a score of 98 x 100 twin birds hit.

The Sportsman competition was for non-ATA shooters and was won by Brian Widner after a shootoff with Mike Kintigh of Rapid City, who both shot 84 x 100 birds. Kintigh was the B Class Sportsman winner.

Terry Treinen of Rapid City was the Skeet Champion with a score of 96 x 100 dead birds.

Champions in all of the competitions won silver Club belt buckles and Class and category winners were presented boxes of shotgun shells as prizes.

The next registered shoot at the Club will be the Memorial shoot August 26 & 27.
