The second ATA registered shoot of the year was held at the Rapid City Trap Club on May 21, 2006 with 46 shooters participating in the three events in the competition.

Matt Bartholow, of Rapid City, was the High Over All winner in the contest with a score of 294 of 300 targets. Matt also won the 16 yard singles championship with a perfect score of 100x100. Four other 100's were posted in the singles event by Darcy Schlecht & Mark Policky of Rapid City, Gary Redden of Edgemont and Dale Hallman of Tuthill, with the champion being decided by a shoot off. The sudden death shoot off lasted another 125 targets and Matt was declared the winner over Gary Redden, who was then named the Class AA winner. Dale Hallman was the Class A champion in the singles event.

Greg Johnson of Rapid City was crowned as the Handicap champion with a score of 98 of 100 birds broken. He won his title after a 50 target shoot off with Mark Policky and Steve Herron of Rapid City, who also broke 98 of 100 targets. Policky was named the 27 yard winner and Herron the 23-24 yard winner in the event.

Matt Bartholow was also named the Doubles Champion with a perfect score of 100 x 100 double targets. Eric Peil of Martin was the winner in the Class AA doubles event after a shoot off with Foster Bartholow of Rapid City who matched Eric's 98 x100 doubles.
